Australia needs more First Nations women leading in our labs, boardrooms, classrooms and communities. The Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy is a national, 10-year investment in the next generation of scientists, engineers and digital pioneers. In partnership with the CSIRO, we provide a dedicated pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young women to lead in the industries that will shape our future.

The Academy exists to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, ensuring that Indigenous brilliance is at the forefront of global innovation. We are here to:

Years 8–12 (Led by CSIRO): Individualised academic support, STEM camps, and hands-on discovery to spark a passion for science and technology. Visit the CSIRO High School Program for students in Years 8-12.
University & Early Career (Led by CareerTrackers): Bridging the gap to the professional world with paid internships, world-class training, and a national sisterhood of mentors.
